Located in The Inner City, St Charles’ Church (Karlskirche) is one of the finest baroque churches you will ever find. Built in the 17th century to honour a pledge made at the end of the 1713 plague, your visit provides a unique opportunity to take a close look at the magnificent ceiling frescoes that cover 1250 square metres - ride an elevator to a platform 32 metres high, and then take your time studying the detail of the frescoes above. Back on the ground, explore the small museum, and for a performance of Mozart’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, check when the church concerts are playing!
